Infrastructure
Where tradition and modernity meet
DPU has a campus with around 14,000m3 of university building space. Tradition and modernity meet through the combination of old buildings and contemporary architecture; creations of the internationally renowned architect Prof. Mag. arch. François J. V. Valentiny.
The students have access to an auditorium for up to 300 people, lecture halls and seminar rooms with state-of-the-art presentation technology and a library with IT workstations and access to well-known literary search engines and networked publications.
DPU has also established state-of-the-art facilities with excellent infrastructure for all pre-clinical and clinical internships in teaching, as well as for the implementation of science and research.
- Natural Science Teaching and Research Pavilion
- Anatomy and Pathology Centres
- Microbiology Laboratory
- Medical Simulation Centre for Emergency and Advanced Skills Training
- Dental Propaedeutical Laboratory with 50 workplaces
- Phantom Room with 74 units
- The DPU Dental Clinic in Krems with around 50 treatment units and operating theatre from Dentsply Sirona as well as a pioneering digital practice
- and more...
In 2022, the House of Science and Art was also opened as a Doctors Club in Unterloiben in the Wachau region and serves, among other things, for organising symposia, congresses and internal events.
DPU’s entire building complex is furnished with works by visual artists that make important statements on contemporary issues.
